I've noticed my Tortoise has some dry skin/shedding around his head/neck area and we went to the Snake Shop on attercliffe yesterday for some blubs, i mentioned it to one of the staff and she said that tortoises do shed thier skin:o I never knew this so....
is there anyone out there who can give me a bit more advice on this? What to do/not to do?

Yes it is true just a gentle spary luke warm water or a shallow bath
