Strix 07-09-2008, 06:17 PM good grief
I hope you know bitches can die giving birth, and that you could wind up with a litter of pups to hand feed if she doesn't produce milk or rejects them
if she came from a good breeder she'll also most likely have a covenant on her preventing you registering the pups as KC, and if it's a contract you signed, you can be in breach of contract producing pups from her at all - so could wind up in court
*binty* 07-09-2008, 06:18 PM PMSL....:hihi: :hihi:
Is this some kind of joke or something?
:(:gag::suspect: hmm i think she would far rather be spayed and saved from the risks of pyometra and mammory tumours along with the stress of mating and having puupies.
rubydazzler 07-09-2008, 06:20 PM x-clau-x, I could have told you this would happen ...

agreed there are toomany unwanted dogs in pounds and kennelswithout adding to them.:(
Strix 07-09-2008, 06:22 PM oh come on
if she'd asked for proper breeding advice, fine, fair enough
this is either a joke or a troll on a duplicate ID :suspect:
Plain Talker 07-09-2008, 06:26 PM My money's on the OP being someone who hasn't a clue about the huge numbers of unwanted pups, and adult dogs in rescues.
Strix 07-09-2008, 06:28 PM but why register just for this PT?
My money's on trolling
rubydazzler 07-09-2008, 06:28 PM My money's on the OP being someone who hasn't a clue about the huge numbers of unwanted pups, and adult dogs in rescues.or who knows anything about the mechanics of breeding sound, healthy pups to breed standard and keeping a healthy mum at the same time.

Am sorry but disagree someone who understands breeding and everything there is to it would not advertise on here for a stud dog. Nothing was mentioned about the dog required etc.
It is either a joke or as someone mentioned a owner who is clueless about the dog situation around the country.
Only today another little yorkie in the pound desperate for a home :(
Lotti 07-09-2008, 08:34 PM Is this for real??
Surely not :suspect:
MARY POPPINS 07-09-2008, 10:06 PM Think its a joke to get everybody going, and it worked!

There is a beautiful red staffy dog called Tyson that roams around here, he is very friendly and still a full male, shall I see if I can catch him for you? the pups would be gorgeous I'm sure, and Tyson would be happy for somewhere to sleep and a good meal in exchange for his services

Sorry, edit to add, maybe the rules don't cover this as they would a re home. If so I apologise

Yes threads are only closed if they are rehomes Jayne, or if the thread turns into arguing...which this one isn't going to do because it is as clear as glass what is going on here ;)

Yes a beautiful new designer doglet
A litter of them would guarantee you a lovely holiday in skeggie!
Rainrescue 08-09-2008, 12:32 AM So
would they be called STAFKIES
Lovely long golden locks, yapping for england, but don't mess with them, or call em pretty - or else!!!!
My money's on a wind up
Strix 08-09-2008, 01:14 AM lol at Moonbird.....
Stafforkies, now thats a new one.
if they take after mum, and are yappy little hairy things, would 'Yaffies' look better in the FreeAds? :D
Strix 08-09-2008, 01:16 AM PS - can I put my order in for a dog and a bitch so I can breed from um?
Moonbird 08-09-2008, 01:28 AM PS - can I put my order in for a dog and a bitch so I can breed from um?
Well I hope that there is more than one dog (and I was the first person to see this in a positive light so it is only fair) because I thought that one of those would do very nicely to father Pee's puppies when I breed from her, I think that the offspring would be absolutely stunning
Strix 08-09-2008, 01:44 AM oh wow moonbird!
imagine a lurcher's legs on a staffy's set of shoulders, all topped off with straggly hair and a snappy attitude
I'll just get a little boy dog and bring him round to your house shall I?
What designer name will you be putting on your FreeAds ad?
Plain Talker 08-09-2008, 01:48 AM MMM, I could just see the carnage:-
a teeny little Yorkie, dying, in the process of trying to pass cross-staffie pups that are way too big. I wouldn't hold out too much hope of the pups surviving it, either.

 Oh Plaintalker my tongue just fell out of my cheek with shock when I read that :o
Strix 08-09-2008, 01:59 AM how about if it was a teacup staffy?
would that be okay PT?

Yes thinking it through perhaps it would be best if you keep the stud dog, you could always have pick of the litter or a fiver fee for his services.
Hmm the new designer name now that is a problem....lets see...lurchyorstaff?
of course if you can think of something better all well and good, I think we could make a pretty penny with this business arrangement
Strix 08-09-2008, 02:17 AM do you think we should be really responsible and get a local charity to help us out with the vetting and placement of the pups then?
how about if we ask them to guarantee to take any of the pups owners don't want after a month or two? do you think they'd go for that if we donate maybe £1 per pup to them?
Plain Talker 08-09-2008, 02:30 AM how about if it was a teacup staffy?
would that be okay PT?
oh a teacup staffy - right!
I didn't realise it was a teacup staff that was going to be put to the Yorkie :D
marginally less problems to expect, on passing the pups then.

You do have some really good ideas tonight :D I think that's a brilliant plan, let the rescue see to all of the rehoming, after care etc, and of course they will be lucky enough to get some pups to sell on....plus a quid per pup off us, how could they refuse
Lets get right on with it and try emailing Rainrescue tonight, this is definitely a win win situation, lets get the ball rolling?

not a lurchyorstaff, it'd be a Laffy, surely? or a Surchy (I imagine the Surchy would be a good dog for hunting!? )

We're not the usual irresponsible kind of breeders you get knocking about you know
now, where's the website for that pet registration scheme that's as good as KC registration? :help:
Strix 08-09-2008, 02:37 AM not a lurchyorstaff, it'd be a Laffy, surely? or a Surchy (I imagine the Surchy would be a good dog for hunting!? )
I think we have a winner! :D
now if we're breeding pups, we really should make sure we have people who want to give them homes first
shall I do a thread now, or wait until I get the doggy pup from clau?
ami_j 08-09-2008, 02:46 AM id wait EVERYONES going to want one...hardly like theres any staffie crosses needing homes
Strix 08-09-2008, 02:48 AM Excuse me, these are going to be pedigree Laffies
you're not taking this seriously are you ami?
Moonbird 08-09-2008, 02:48 AM id wait EVERYONES going to want one...hardly like theres any staffie crosses needing homes
And definitely none like the ones we are going to breed ami_j :D
ami_j 08-09-2008, 03:11 AM oh no problem then...dear me and i got my lad castrated...hes a nice dog...should of bred him....could of had some new pedigrees too
*Peaches* 08-09-2008, 09:01 AM I can make you certificates too on my pedigree assistant too if you like?
Strix 08-09-2008, 09:34 AM oh that'd be handy :)
thank you Peaches
Never mind ami, would you like us to include your dog's name in the pedigree anyway?
the place we'll be registering them with doesn't check these things anyway, and why should your dog feel second best to these KC dogs anyway?
(yes, that's what it says on the website for the registration - or something close to it anyway)
Lotti 08-09-2008, 09:57 AM Ooooh they will be DLRC Registered?? You can charge far more for them in that case!
Ami your dog can certainly go on their pedigree in that case! If dead dogs can sire DLRC registered pups, then castrated dogs sure can!
Strix 08-09-2008, 10:27 AM will you be putting your name down too Lotti?
If you have a bitch you could sell her pups in your shop
Lotti 08-09-2008, 10:30 AM Now there's an idea!
Unfortunately, I have a catflap so it would depend on how small they are...
That said - it'd be a heck of a lot cheaper to let her roam and get up the duff than to pay for a stud!
Strix 08-09-2008, 10:36 AM oh you don't pay for the stud, you just give them pick of the litter (once you've removed the best two bitches from the litter)
Alan Cullen 08-09-2008, 10:41 AM I came in late...sorry....
I have a dog(?) who would just love a Yorkshire Terrier. His name is Dribble. That's because that's what he does when he meets babies, and Yorkshire Terriers. He's a pure bred dingo. Can you hear him panting byside me at the moment?
Strix 08-09-2008, 10:43 AM Oooo - do you want to sell him Alan?
Imported dogs are so much more prestigious
(I think they have to come here via Ireland though to avoid quarantine)

You can have him mate...got plenty more here.....want Fang...my pet(?) croc?
ami_j 08-09-2008, 11:29 AM oh i am pleased that him being castrated hasnt ruined anychances of me making money! i can go away what fun!

does he stand on the piano and "sing" along to the music, a la the dingo on the Martin Clunes programme a couple of weeks ago?
that would be a good blood-line to pursue:-
"Dorkies:- ready in 12 weeks, guaranteed to sing for you!"
Strix 08-09-2008, 09:45 PM Don't you think 'Yingoes' has a better ring to it PT? :D
Plain Talker 08-09-2008, 09:58 PM Don't you think 'Yingoes' has a better ring to it PT? :D
yes, or what about "Singoes?"
