I enjoy snooker, but I'm sick to the back teeth of listening to Steve Davis, he makes John Major look exciting and adventurous.

Should he be shelved to make way for new and more entertaining commentators.

And yes he was world number one for seven years, but does it really justify the need to bore us to death every year.

Would you rather listen to really boring people like Hendry then.
All sports have them, in football there is David Pleat for example. What he knows about football can fill a book. What he doesn't can fill a whole library

Davis is one of the funniest guys around, so far as sports analysts go.

Turns out he always was a really funny guy, but when he used to be in his pomp as a player, he always checked in his personality at the door before heading into the arena to play.

I've met him a few times and found him to be rude and arrogant.

I am so glad you said that, I didn't want to say it, he also cannot assemble his own thoughts and adopts the thoughts and opinions of others.

I would truly like to see someone replace him though, because he does make snooker duller than what it is.

The only moment I enjoyed watching him was when another old World Champion, slapped him in his place (with words), I thought yes yes yes, please give that man Davis's job.
He basically told the story as it was, that if you are not part of the Davis crew, you have no place in snooker, and he found it sickening.

Can't remember who it was though, he was large and had a mustache.

I'd like to see snooker revamped and take on a WWF style competition, where the players "give it some raaargh".

Could you imagine Rocket Ronnie in a bikini screaming "You want a piece of me".

I admit to liking him and his expert comments on the sport.

Steve davis should be just commentating now rather than boring people with trying to break the guiness record for the worlds slowest snooker player :hihi:

All in all a legend but should move aside now and make way for The Rocket Ronnie

Please, yes ! ! !

I could never sit through a snooker match, neither can I stand to watch golf, darts or Formula One on telly because... I don't know, I must have ADHD or something.

But a big ruck between the be-spectacled nerds, yeah, I'd tune it for that ! ! !
