Hi All

Doies anyone know of a good enclosed field around the S6 area that we can let our greyhounds off for a run.

We used to let them off over the train track just off Fox Hill Road and they've been fine doing that for about 6 months but the other day the younger one got spooked by something and took off and ran all the way home.

Not good as she had to cross 2 roads and as you may know, greyhounds don't have the best sense of the Green Cross Code.

Not one's to take a chance we don't want to let them off again if we can't be sure she won't do it again but now they're desparate for a run (they're rescued ones, not racers by the way).

Thanks for your help and time.

If you Pm anna293 I am sure she will be able to advise and I believe that she is in your area
Anna also taking a group of sighthounds and their owners every Wednesday to a fully enclosed area so that the dogs can run free for a while, I believe that there is a small charge for the hire of the place but if you have dogs that cannot free run it will be well worth it, plus the benefit of meeting other sighthounds and their owners :)

that'll be me, i let mine off in grenoside but only the ones that have great recall as its such a big place and theres lots of people walk in there so they are the ones great with everything.
The ones not so good go off in a riding school i hire and others with hounds can join us, they have to be muzzled and we charge a small donation to cover fee and also rest goes to greyhound rescue. if your interested pm me or email annarevitt@yahoo.co.uk all dogs have to be muzzled and can run with or without other dogs dependant on their natures. annax
