we are having Indian food tonight at a restaurant with friends and we're going to come back to our house for home-made pudding ... what puddings are good for after curries ? I'm not a huge ice-cream fan.

Turn into a fan dish and press down base and back in a low oven for 8 minutes, remove and leave to cool. Mix together cream and condensed milk and add a little grated lemon rind and the juice of 3 lemons a little at a time until thick. Pour over biscuits and chill. Yum yum. RachM 06-09-2008, 18:42 crush up some pistachios, grate some lemon zest, bind together with honey (and a bit of rosewater if you have it). Halve and stone some peaches, top with the mixture and grill for a bit. Aquiescence 09-09-2008, 12:51 A really good dessert after a curry which is really cheap and easy to make is a sorbet using tinned fruit, such as mango, apricots, even cheap tinned peaches. Blitz fruit in a food processor or with hand blender, with about half of syrup from tins. Put it in a box in the freezer and mix every hour until set. |
