well im here new pony all dressed up with no where to go. any help

Are you a member of a local stable, they tend to know where all the shows are, I think that is a good way of finding out show etc.

no ive not had a pony for 2 yrs and its a fresh start for us ,

i should mention its my daughter who would be riding,

no we have some land with pony on, shes with my friends horses so i dont really see any other horsy people, im wanting to get her to some shows before i get her into the pony clubb you se elol

The Yorkshire Post's country week section is published today (saturday) and that has the equestrian columns in, if you find their website you can read it on there if you don't fancy actually buying the paper! But, there isn't usually much Sheffield stuff listed in it.

Google "Hallamshire Riding Society", "Eckington and District Riding Club" and "Hope Valley Riding Club" for starters, they have all got websites now (some are better than others!!). Also look up "Riding Diary" as a lot of events will be listed on there.

Eckington, Maltby, Worksop, Tickhill, Hope Valley, Wingerworth, Hallamshire, Ardsley all have clubs.

You're a bit late in the season for this years outdoor events but there's normally indoor dressage, SJ and some XC on over the winter. Try Parklands for schedules and contact numbers or google as most of the clubs have websites.

Where are you based?

there is something going at Hallamshire today , I know thats a pretty active area

we are at hoyland barnsley, i was just wanting some local ish shows to see how they both go in show conditions if that makes sence.

Penistone have a RC too.

I'll ask around for you, I have a horsey mate at Wombwell that's just been to a show, I'll find out where that was.

There's plenty of classes at local shows for littl'uns to go in: Condition and Turnout, Handler, Pretty Pony etc.

Most "local" showsm are about over now. But try HAllamshire Riders,Maltby Horse and riders, Winberworth show,Eckington Riders.
They'r ethe only ones i know personally but i'm sure there'll be more -

Tickhill Arena do a bit over the winter, jumping and the like. And indoor driving trials if the pony drives?!

driving is so much fun just have to get used to the distance from your bum to ponies ears lol
