It must be a really rare thing to happen? You should have posted this morning, at 05:05am Titian 05-05-2005, 19:44 Yes, Its a palindrome Lindseyw 05-05-2005, 19:47 wouldn't that be 5-5-5 if you reverse 05-05-05 it would be 50-50-50 Nooka 05-05-2005, 19:53 Dont think ive ever been awake at 05-05! and yes Andy78 youre right wasnt hard to work out but i was too lazy! AndrewC 05-05-2005, 19:57 don't worry, the equivalent of this thread in december 2012 won't have to be made til 12 minutes part midday, just after wake up ;) spiffymonkey 05-05-2005, 20:13 Originally posted by Lindseyw wouldn't that be 5-5-5 if you reverse 05-05-05 it would be 50-50-50 Correct. The last truly palendromic date was Februrary 20th, 2002, or 20-02-2002. Well, if you discount the hyphens... If you want one that is palendromic with the hyphens (i.e. with the 2 digit year ) it was 30th Nov, 2003, or 30-11-03 (edited because I can't type) spiffymonkey 05-05-2005, 20:16 Oh, yes, and watch out next year, when we will have 06-06-06 ;) Lurch 05-05-2005, 21:41 Originally posted by Nooka It must be a really rare thing to happen? I originally thought it is actually quite rare as 05-05-05 will only occur every 100 years. Now I've read the replies I've sussed out what you meant. alchresearch 05-05-2005, 21:57 The last major date thing like this I remember was 01:23 and 45 seconds on 6th July 1989 - 01:23:45:6/7/89. I was listening to James Watt on the "Yorkshire Radio Network" - when Hallam FM used to join up with Pennine and Viking in the evenings. I suppose you could have had something similar in 1990: 12:34:56 7/8/90. I think he broke my brain :D Phanerothyme 05-05-2005, 23:52 My GFs 43rd Birthday will be on 21.02.2012 and if you had an accurate enough clock you could mark the point to the tenthousandth of a second 21:02.2012 21/02/2012 which is pretty palindromic . "Doc note, I dissent - a fast never prevents a fatness, I diet on cod" Internetowl 06-05-2005, 06:21 the second coming of Christ is due next year on 6th June - pretty ironic really....:loopy: LoopyLou 06-05-2005, 06:49 Well this is spooky....
