I am a mature student doing GCSE English. I have so far worked hard to achieve a a good grade.

Why would you want to cheat, the end result would not be yours and you can`t take credit for that.

Too many people on here know how hard I am working to pass the exam, and at my age what is the point of putting myself through this much stress to cheat.

This is the first exam I will be sitting, left school 26 years ago before I did my exams.

But I would not cheat, I want to know I did this all on my own, its too important to me.

What the point in cheating? You might get away once or twice, but the exams get you in the end!

It's hard to cheat, you'd be better off learning the stuff by rote anyway. I remeber writing a series of coded letters on my rubber in a GCSE exam and realised I had to learn what the codes meant, so I'd learnt it anyway. Is this cheating?

I remember putting a physics formula on the back of a rubber for my GCSE's years ago....the thing was I was soo scared I'd get caught :suspect: that I sat in the exam feeling uncomfortable, not being able to concentrate and would not even touch my rubber in case I got found out....so it backfired and I learnt my lesson

I said I cheated on the poll because although I did'nt I tried too :(

I hold my hand up :help:
I cheated :help:

Way back, when I took my 25yard swimming exam ,I walked part of the way whilst moving my arms very convincingly.:hihi:

Swimming wasn`t my strong point then and now for that matter.:D

I remember one time when i copied the answers to a test from the desk i was at (Someone wrote them all down) and when the teacher graded the test she asked me if i copied the answers from the desk,i got scared and said no....I should have been honest... I FAILED THE TEST and the teacher might have let me take it over! (Most of the answers were wrong)

The solution??

TRY NOT TO CHEAT ON THINGS........

When i was at university the cheating was so blatent im surprised that the exam boards even bothered to mark the papers.....Most people went in with sheets of A4 paper that they got out and hid under the question sheets.

Others had formulae written on the outside and inside of their pencil cases.

Everyone else used a book of post-it notes hidden inside their calculator cases.

Me, i had a brand new (for the time) Texas Instruments calculator that would let you store 3200 characters on a single line...Thing was though that it took so many hours to input formulae etc that by the time i got into the exam i had remembered it all anyway :hihi:

I knew someone who wanted to be a clergyman (C of E).
There was a psychology test to see whether candidates had the right attitude.
He obtained a copy, and rehearsed all the correct answers, so he got into the course and qualified.
Unfortunately, he proved to be unsuited to the work, and parishioners complained so much that he was asked to quit.
