I am posting this on behalf of another forum user who does not feel comfortable posting themselves, any answers from the user will be posted by myself :D

This (http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d159/5critters/Straycat.jpg) cat has been living in my garden for about 2-3 months now, I have called rspca about him but they couldn't help me much, and they have no room for him.

I'm in s2 area does anyone know this cat ? he is being fed regularly and he's given lots of love, but i cant keep him as I have other pets.

can anyone help me with what to do with him? as winter will be here soon and I'd hate for him to be out all winter, I am really worried about him.

I'm not sure how old he is but he's no kitten, he is very cute and friendly and he just loves to be stroked and cuddled.

Thanks I hope that someone can help me in finding his owners, or offering him a safe place to live.

Just wanted to update everyone who is interested, I have brilliant news...the stray cat was picked up a few minutes ago by cat protection, he is going to the vets for health checks and then he is going for rehoming :D

A big thanks to Magsie who put us onto cat protection, Magsie you are a star of the highest order

And a massive well done to the person who has been feeding and taking care of the cat, it has upset her because she has fallen in love with him just a bit but couldn't keep him, well done you...he will have a lovely life now thanks to you :)

Ah I am so pleased. He's a lovely looking cat and deserves a good home which CP will ensure I'm sure! x

Fantastic news from CPL - they are a great charity - and we certainly need them around here.

Well done all for helping him

He's gorgeous and I'm pleased to hear CP has come through for him.

They do what they can but can only provide shelter if they have a free foster home to place a cat in -and that is dependent on volunteers coming forward to offer such a foster home.

Both of the Sheffield CP branches (Sheffield Hallam and North Sheffield) are always looking for more volunteers to help out in a number of ways, be it fostering, home checking, fundraising, ferrying cats back and forth or any number of other critical tasks, so if you think you can help- either telephone the branches or visit their websites (not sure if the North Sheffield one has a website yet though).

Sheffield Hallam website is http://catsprotectionshop.com/volunteers.aspx or telephone 0114 249 3330

North Sheffield telephone number is 01142 456371
