Thank you for starting a thread on Orchid, I am a partner at the company, unfortunately I can't give you any feedback, I think I would struggle to be impartial! :) but I can give you some details about us. Both my business partner and I have a number of years experience in the Lettings market, we set up Orchid to offer both tenants and landlords an alternative. We don't believe in or have excessive charges, you will find charges to both tenants and landlords some of the lowest around, but that doesn't mean that we sacrifice the core values of customer service, when we have a call from a tenant with a problem we set in place a time scale to get the issue resolved. Not entirely sure if this is the same guy but there cant be many of that name in property, anyway, i was using another agent previously in Sheffield, there was a guy there called Aaron who was useless, he never answered his mobile phone and never ever returned your calls. This is why he is probably not at this agent any longer. I think they finally realised he was lazy and useless. He is very fast at taking on your property and certainly has the gift of the gab to win you over but once he has your keys you are as good as forgotten about. I certainly would not recommend using him to market any of you properties never mind manage them. If this is the same guy then look elsewhere i suggest.

Thanks for your response Des. We were actually looking to rent a property through Orchid. We haven't actually signed anything yet as we are waiting to exchange on our house sale, but Aaron has shown us round one of Orchid's properties and taken references from us. In his defence I must say he has been polite, punctual, helpful and always returned our calls!
