it didnt occure to me that i wouldnt be able to untill my mam in law said we had to have a card, will i just be able to go and tell them my name and address and then be able to vote ?

Yeah I think you can still vote if you have proof of your address etc.

It depends if you are registered to vote.

If you are, you dont' need a poll card and can just turn up and state your address.

If you're not registered, you can't.

sheffsoul, thankyou for that im sure i filled something out the other month that meant we were registered we have only been in this house a couple of months.

oh well like i said i can ask for nowt :)

If you want to check if you are registered before you go, ring the Register Office on 273 4093.:)

just rang them, and yes i am registered but... i got registered on the 16th april and the cut off date for voting was 11th march :( :(

so thanx again for that number you did indeed save me a wasted journey :clap:
