We have found a racing pigeon who looks to be hurt. Can anyone who knows how to care for them help us? He was at the side of the road so have brought him inside for warmth. The PDSA vets wouldn't help, and the Royal Pigeon Racing Association are shut. Please help

where abouts are you?
I have a feeling that if you actually take it to a vets they are bound by some code that doesn't permit them to turn you away

We are on Norfolk Road. When we called PDSA they said they would not help. We are giving her a bit of time to get warm for a minute and have found that water with sugar in is good as well as a little bit of rice so have given her that (advice from Royal Pigeon Association website)

I have taken pigeons to the vet before, like any hurt animal they will take care of it and bill the owner.

Thanks for that. We will make a journey up there soon. Just want to make sure she is ok for a journey in the car soon.
She has perked up a lot, is walking around but don't thnk she can fly at the minute, her wing looks slightly injured.

We traced the birds’ owner from the link below by entering the number on the ring. Thought this maybe useful if anyone were to find a stray/hurt bird. Our visitor was reunited with her owner last night.
Thanks for your help.
