Plain Talker 03-09-2008, 06:29 PM Just been talking on Howard Pressman's teatime show about my Trixie being Destruct-o-pup,
got back in from town after having to trek to Coles, for a new zip for my velvet tracksuit-top that trix had chewed off a couple of days ago ...
I had foolishly left my handbag in the kitchen, within her reach. and as I was talking to Natalie, the producer, before I went on air, I peeked round the kitchen door, and found:-
The little sod had had the contents of my handbag out, strewed them all over the kitchen floor, and chewed up my leather purse and a £20 note.
oooh  I tell you, she'll get dead ;);) before she's much older, the little cowbag! :help::hihi::help:
*binty* 03-09-2008, 06:35 PM Awww gutted!!! You're £20 down now :(

actually, I like doing jigsaws :hihi::hihi::rolleyes::hihi::hihi:
With a bit of sellotape, and about twenty minutes' worth of patience, I think can stick it back together enough for the bank to recognise it as a £20...
The numbers are intact enough for the bank to recognise it, too, and IIRC they will exchange it for an less damaged one.
so, I'm a beautiful leather purse down, but the £20 may just be salvageable!
coachman 04-09-2008, 12:14 AM our dog did that lol we took it to the bank and they gave us an adress to send it away to and they sent us a cheque back it took less than a week :D
shihtzumad 04-09-2008, 12:22 AM naughty little trixie, looking at her you would think butter would melt her her mouth,
Plain Talker 04-09-2008, 12:40 AM I love the little tinker to bits, but, crikey-o'reilley, is she ever destructive!
In the last few days, she's managed to rag me two lots of my knitting onto the garden, and chewed up a beautiful carved wooden cat ornament that I'd bought for my sister's birthday.
I've bought some "bitter apple", and sprayed it onto the old dog's neck, as she's forever nipping at him there.
She certainly didn't like it! hehe, her reaction was quite funny.
If only everything could be doused in this stuff! :hihi:
shihtzumad 04-09-2008, 04:18 PM sounds like she is keeping you on your toes :)
Lotti 04-09-2008, 04:46 PM Hehe... I regularly come down to find out that Takara has managed to extend her reach that little bit further again and got my bag again. (she's a little sod, I've seen her do it, stretching her paw out, grabbing it and pulling it towards her)
She's usually looking for food not money though ;) less expensive habit!
Plain Talker 04-09-2008, 07:01 PM when I got to the bank today, to ask hem about the damage to the note, I found that there was a second £20 that she'd torn.
They were very good, very helpful, and said that, because the serial-numbers were still intact, they could exchange the notes, and send the damaged ones back to the Bank of England.
Phew!
anna293 04-09-2008, 10:48 PM little monkey, i experienced this once when Basil one of my lurchers chewed some notes up, we had 3 dogs at the time but he was the one with part of a note stuck to his nose so a big give away lol, think it was about £60 but we managed to tape and exchange too.phew.. annax

Ah, now, if you had a dog as crafty as mine, one of the others could have arranged that Basil get the blame, by getting the bit of banknote stuck to him...
Basil could be innocent!
:hihi:
