Please contact the user needhams for any further information about the cat.

Hi there. It's with a very sad heart I write to you to try and help me rehome my lovely persian cat. I have tried writing this several times and not sent it to you as I'm finding this such a hard thing to do.

There are a few reasons why I need to rehome him. I have a young family and find that the time I have to spend on him is not as much as I'd like. Being a persian he does need grooming every other day which is not as easy as it sounds! Don't get me wrong he isn't aggresive, just awkward to keep in once place whilst I'm trying to keep him tidy, plus the fact that I have 2 small kids, work etc etc and don't feel as if I can give him enough time.

I don't keep him as an indoor cat as I think cats should enjoy the outdoors and we live in a quiet enough location for him to enjoy the fresh air. In fact I think he sees himself as a bit of an action man!! We moved to our current property last year and he took it upon himself to disappear for several weeks.

The only health issue he has is his teeth. Whilst trying to get out of the trap (which I previously mentioned) it appears that he tried to chew his way out, which in turn infected some of his teeth and they had to be removed. This doesn't bother him in the slightest, I just give him more soft cat food than biscuits. He is neutered, flead and wormed. He is house trained and will use a litter tray no problem.
Basically my reasons are for rehoming: most definately not enough time to groom him and spend time with him and fear of him really doing himself some damage trying to climb onto the roof.

I am in no rush to rehome him, I'd rather find the right person, and I didn't want to send him to a cattery for them to rehome (I couldn't bear the though of him in one of those places). I would like him to live somewhere safe as he hasn't much road sense and be able to go out as he pleases as this is what he's been used to.
If I have missed anything, just let me know and I will be happy to provide more info. This is a really hard thing for me to do. I'm doing this more for Jink's benefit than mine. I will miss him, but now that I have 2 kids (14 months apart) he isn't getting the love and time he deserves, so it's the kindest thing to find him someone that can lavish these things upon him.
Many thanks.
Hope to hear from you soon.
