Did anyone see the bit about the firebombing in The Star ? Usual lack of info- dosent do an areas image any good at all. Highgreen is currently re-inventing itself, lots of nice new property, new industry and lots of nice, decent new people. Is this article yet another " I want another council house" attempt ? If anyone knows anything about this business then please post it on here. Lets get to know the real picture.
I dunno owt about this, but I'm willing to bet its the westside of wortly road, rather than the east.
I'm also willing to bet its near, or just off foster lane . .
This is all just guessing, as I'm pretty familiar with that whole area. .
Anyone else got details . . ??

I haven't heard about any fire bombing, but on reading the weekly "look local" tonight I read on page 2 about "Youth Booze nuisance". Police are cracking down on booze fuelled youth nuisance in High Green. Crowds of youngsters loitering on street corners are smashing up bus shelters and phone boxes, each evening.... etc etc........."Police spokesman Andy Battle said "We would like to assure the action group and the people of High Green that we are making immediate response to this problem".
I hope this is the case because I think that too many innocent and hard working families are being subjected to the "antics" of unruly youth's all over the city........not just High Green. Bring back the Bobby that can give them a clip around the ear and go tell their parents just what they are up to without getting their lights punched out by "defensive" parents that would rather defend their little S***s than do the proper parenting role!! Phew..............getting hot under the collar now.......and I hope I haven't offended anybody. But that's my opinion.............if more parents were a bit more concerned about what their kids were doing when the sun set then maybe we wouldn't have so many problems with anti-social behaviour from our youth.
