There is more than one polling station within the constituency.

Telephone 273 4093 and they will tell you where you are supposed to go.

If you are sure that you are supposed to go to Springfield Primary School it is on Broomspring Lane, S10 2FA

I do hope you have better luck than us with disabled access to your Pollin station down here in london the disabled access is diabolical:hihi:

I'm Sheffield Central but my polling station is Porter Croft School on Pomona St. But that sounds a little far from you so it's probably best to ring up and check :)

Don't automatically think you are able to vote at your nearest polling station.

We thought that at the last Gen Election but no we we had to walk past the nearest polling station and continue on for a 20 min walk to our allocated polling place. Not sure how they work out the allocation but no doubt there is some reasoning behind the madness.

So best check.

Where is the Wesleyan Methodist Church on Carver Street? I know where St Matthews is but can't think of another church in that area...

Should tell you the polling station and polling hours on your polling card that was posted out to everyone a month or so ago!

Springfield School is behind West One, Turn off West St near the Swim Inn down Cavendish St, then carry on down there for about 50 metres and it's on your right. Its open from 7am - 10pm.

It's not a postal vote - it's simply a postcard they send out with your name, address, electoral register number and polling station details. It helps you know where and when to vote, and helps polling station staff find your name on the register easier.

I assumed everyone gets one....

A polling card is sent to everybody who hasn't registered to vote by post. It tells you where your polling station is. You do not need it to vote.

A postal ballot is sent to everybody who has registered to vote by post. Normally you should not get both. A postal ballot can be handed in in person to any polling station before they close. The Election Office is also a polling station.

People have been mixing up both terms - even the news media have been mixing them up causing quite a bit of confusion.
