I know this should be in the disability section and it is, but some of you do not look in there so I thought it may be useful to let anyone know who is affected by Asperger Syndrome that we are meeting at the Ha Ha Bar this Saturday for a drink and a chat.
The people were all Aspies who came last time but if you have a son/daughter with As then you may like to come.So far there is possibly 5 of us

Should be able to make it on saturday. Though im on call incase of emergency at work so may have to make a quick dash. My other half with AS should be coming along as well, again, if i can convince her to stop playing Spore on the new PC

I remember speaking to one of the people who helps run the asperger parent group last year and he mentioned he had a son with AS with computer qualifications who had trouble finding employment which sounded similair to your situation. Clearly you have a clone living in the Ecclesfield area

Sometimes we then go round the corner to another Pub when we have had a drink in the Ha Ha Bar.

Of course it is OK.
There is a real mix.Ages vary between about 20s to about 70s.There is no criteria, only anyone who has or is affected by Asperger Syndrome.

Great meeting yesterday. The group is getting bigger every month and the Ha ha bar is a bit squashed for us now. so we shall meet there next time at the beginning of April but we shall go to the Roebuck as there is more room in there.

Hi everyone.

We had a great meeting on Saturday and had some new people who attended. Thanks to you all for coming along. I hope that whatever we had a chance to talk about helped and that it wasnt too confusing with the change of going to the Showroom.
The showroom seems like a good idea for a place to be able to sit together as there is more room and it isnt as noisy as the Ha Ha Bar.
I must stresss that as many people have got used to the meeting place as The Ha Ha Bar, we shall meet there at 2pm on the 3rd July as normal.
We shall wait until 2.10 pm for anyone who is running late and then we shall go to The Showroom cinema Bar.Please call me on 2683470 if you want any further info about what we do in the group.
