I've sort of promised to abseil off the Humber Bridge in July! Never done it before and a bit scared, but it's something to cross off my list of things to do before I die. It WAS on my list of things to do before I was fifty, but.... well, time flies. Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea to do a little practice thing - save me looking a twonk and chickening out - and I'm hoping to find a baby abseil place. Any ideas or advice?

We've not actually got a beginners abseil on at the moment but I'm in the process of sorting one out. I'll try & remember to update this post once I do but in the meantime keep an eye on our events lists on the website

Does anyone fancy jumping off Millers Dale bridge at Monsall Head on the 30th October?
Its only 90 feet to the ground below and there will be plenty of chaps on hand to see that you safely get there.
We are trying to raise money for the Friends of the Peak District and if you fancy risking life and limb for a good cause (we will be supervised by people who know what they are doing), you can take the plunge for just £25.00.
If you can do the Humber Bridge, Millers Dale Bridge will be a breeze - the views are far more spectacular mind you and for that reason alone it is worth taking part.
If you are interested, give me a shout.
