Me and my husband got married on 16th August, was a great day.........

We got married at St Leonards church, was a great service, we sang Jeruserlam, Lord of all hopefullness and All things bright and beautiful.

Me and my husband and bridesmaids hired vintage cars to take us to our reception, they were vandemplar princess (I tknow that won't be spelt right at all!) They were from bently wedding hire with I can recommend. We also hired a vintage bus for the rest of our guests.

We had our wedding breakfast and reception at Sheffield Park hotel, Norton. It was just great. They were so well organised, when we arrived they were wating for us with 2 glasses of bucks fizz on a silver tray. The food, both the meal and buffett was really nice. The DJ got everyone up dancing. It was just a great place, so glad we chose it.

We had our photo's done by ASG photography, still waiting for them back but I'm sure they will be great and the photograher is a really nice man.

I got my dress from La Bella brides in chaple town, everyone comented how nice it was so I was really cuffed. It was a slight gold colour. No sleeves, all the top was beaded and at the waist it had a flower the hung down and then it went down in tiers and had a train, I didn't have a veil but I had all my hair took up in barrel curls and pearls and flowers in it with a tiara. My bridesmaids had sand coloured dresses with an ivory sash and slight train and ivory head dresses. My little girl who's 15 months had a big fluffy ivory dress with a big bow at the back. My husband, best man and usher had brown suits with gold waistcoats. My husband had gold cravat and hanky and the other two had ivory. My son who's 2 and half had trousers and cream shirt and gold waist coat and tie.

We had our cake made by a lady called Rachel Edwards, I found the picture in a magazine and she copied it exactally, it was raelly nice.

We also had chair covers by pretty chairs, they looked great.

I gave everyone a lottery ticket as a favour, no one won a penny though out of 76 tickets, just shows you.

Anyway I know I've gone on but just wanted to share it with the world or Sheffield at least!!

We did it!! 23rd August.

Went better than I could ever imagine. Weather was fantastic, we were calm and everyone was happy. We kept it really informal and simple and it worked!

Registry Office - wedding - really small, informal and relaxed
Echo in Woodseats - hair and make up. Everything looked good and stayed in place all day which is just what you need!
St Paul's - Reception - amazing food/drinks etc. Service was fantastic. Location was perfect for us.
Monica f Hewitt - flowers. Great big vases of sunflowers on each table and goldfish bowles on the top tables. Looked stunning and went really well with the decor of the room. Kids loved them too and were playing with them all by the end of the day.
Wedding Days - Did the dress - at the v last minuite too! Loved it, fitted just right and even if i would have had more time to pick the dress I would have still gone for that one.
Yorkshire Dales Cheese Co - cake. Everyone loved the cake of cheese - especially me as I loooove cheese!
Venice - Honeymoon - We had the best time ever!

Well it's all over now. I've enjoyed popping into this forum to do wedding talk, but I guess I won't be able to do that any more! Congrats to all those recently married and good luck to all those that are due to be married soon. I hope you all have the same luck as we did and it goes as well, and better, than ours did!

Adios wedding ladies!!
