I was sure my son was going to be early, and although he was it wasn't nearly as early as we'd been worried about, he was induced anyway! Best wishes to you all for a prompt and healthy birth! cuteykat 01-09-2008, 10:35 thanks :)..... Hummingbird 01-09-2008, 18:12 I have two boys who were both born on their due dates. My eldest is 16 on the 17th sept I've just had a little girl she is 11 weeks tomorrow and she was 12 days late!!!!! Hope your bundle of joy arrives on time minibobkin 01-09-2008, 19:08 my 6 year old came 8 days late after 34 hours of labour and my 3 year old came 6 days early after 10 hours of labour. shihtzumad 01-09-2008, 19:55 OMG, that as gone so quick, good luck with the birth, look forward to seeing pictures treadlightly 01-09-2008, 20:08 Babies have their own timetable! It is quite interesting to note the correlation between your cycle length and length of gestation. If you have a short cycle (average is 28 days, and that is what the midwives go by when setting your EDD) then it is likely that baby will come "early", and transversely if you have a longer cycle then it is likely that your baby will come "late". In HypnoBirthing we refer to a Due month,(so if EDD is today, you are expecting baby to arrive towards the end of August or beginning of September...etc) as opposed to a due date, as it takes away the pressure of arriving on that one day. Only 3% of babies coe along on their due date! Best wishes, and hope you have the birth experience you wish for. :) LilMissAlien 01-09-2008, 22:19 It's something like approximately 10x the length of your cycle, isn't it, treadlightly? That's why I was convinced my little one was going to be a June baby and not the beginning of July that my EDD gave me. Even though I went in for an induction I was already in labour, so my calculations were correct, I guess! cosywolf 02-09-2008, 22:35 Well, you'd better move a bit faster if we're going to meet up in the ward, cuteycat...I've been moved up to next week. Induction Tuesday. cuteykat 03-09-2008, 07:18 awww ill try lol my babies neva wanna come on time :( |
