EGGS.........

I prefer brown eggs myself, don't know why, they just look fresher, always wondered what the difference was, if any.

white egss are layed by hens with white beaks and brown eggs by hens with brown beaks - apparently.

Or was it the colour of their ear lobes?

There is no difference in egg quality, they just come from different breeds.
As mentioned on a different thread, you can only find brown eggs in English supermarkets. Mainly as a result of this perception of brown being better or more 'natural'!

Apparently, the preference in US supermarkets is for white eggs. Have you noticed that either colour is more prominent there?
