The other night my gorgeous hammie was really annoying me. I hadn't slept properley for 3 nights and he was chewing and chewing and not stopping. I sat up and shouted at him and he looked so scared.

I feel really really bad about it now as Beans is my little boy and I love him so much!

So do you think animals remember things like this?

am sure beans will not remember you shouting at him, they do get on your nerves when they are chewing all time, am sure he will forgive you

No, they don't. My hamster doesn't anyway. When he used to sleep in our bedroom, he'd chew the bars on his cage until the early hours of the morning so i once shouted at him (like you did) and scared the crap outta him  made him be quiet for a while though but he's still not stopped it fully :hihi: He does it everynight.

For now though - he's sleeping like a baby

Well, earlier I completely cleaned his cage AND his ball AND gave him lots of cuddles and treats
and he was ok with me! I was scared he'd bite me...but he didn't :) he has never ever bitten me in the year and a bit of having him!
