I know that there are quite a few haunted places in Sheffield such as Wadsley common is haunted by a woman in white who glides about silently and now and again raises her arms in lament or imprecation (Cursed). Some say she occasionally moans as if in trouble. Also clothed with trees in parts and haunts the vicinity of the Worrall to Loxley Road, near the old pit workings. Folk who claim to have encountered the ghost state that it was first seen back in 1920, and that it walks abroad between the hours of 9 and 11 o'clock. (according to The Sheffield Independant)

Is there any other haunted estates in Sheffield that people know about? Try where the Middlewood hospital was i keep hearing things about that estate :thumbsup: Jon from The Yorkshire Paranormal Society...website up and running Halloween night fingers crossed :rolleyes:

At SHU's Psalter Lane campus there have been sightings of a teacher who committed suicide in the days when the building was used as a school prior to the building being used by the army during the war. Not that I believe that kind of thing! There is link on SHU's website somewhere.

This Sheffield Star article (http://www.sheffieldtoday.net/ViewArticle.aspx?SectionID=58&ArticleID=681554) is about a supposedly haunted pub in Sheffield.

I followed the link at the bottom of the article to the UK Ghost Investigators site to look at the photos and they were all just orbs which, to be honest, I think are camera problems. I wanted to see see-through people!

Not sure if I believe in ghosts at all... even though I've had some ghostly experiences maybe...
