I like it, and since having sky - it is on all the time, but my wife really hates it, and shouts at me.

I love it, my Avatar may be small, but it's Tayla.:D

I had a dream that grim reaper was *ahem* doing rude things with Jonas Quinn.

She'll never forgive me for that:hihi:

I like Stargate, both SG-1 and Atlantis, enjoying the new season on Sky One at the moment, thoroughly enjoyed the one off specials, hmmm, it's a shame they don't do another big budget film like the original film.

I dream of that day.

The new series is fantastic although I'm a little concernd about the effect stasis had on Carson. I mean it's one thing to freeze him, but did they have to dye his hair and botox him to death at the same time:hihi:

Oh no! So you noticed that too? :hihi:

I couldn't tear my eyes away from what looked so suspiciously like a (very bad) wig! That stay in stasis did him no good whatsoever! :hihi:

And his accent is veering wildly from country to country even more than it used to :P

And the moral is: keep well away from stasis chambers, people! :hihi: They won't do you any good at all

I'm a Stargate fan  (most sci-fi actually)

When Jack left and Ben Bowder appeared i had huge expectations. Especially when paired up with Claudia Black again. Alas the 'click' i was expecting still isn't there.

Why are you moving this thread on to Atlantis btw? I love Atlantis as well but it's a bit early to be digressing hehe :P

I love sci-fi, and Stargate does the trick for me. Was a fan right from the feature film (with Kurt Russel), and although the TV series was a slow starter, I grew to love it for itself. The last couple of seasons of SG1, with the Ori, and the new cast members (stolen from Farscape - there's a show that should never have died) were excellent, and thus the decision to cancel SG1 was gutting!

Much like the decision to cancel Atlantis after this year is!

Yup, that's right....Atlantis is ending guys. Now I am the first to admit that Atlantis has been treading water a lot over the past two years (pun definitely intended), but every now and then they do an amazing episode which shows the potential of the show. The latest one to air in the States (titled Shrine) was a Rodney focussed episode which really showed what Hewlett can do as an actor - I was close to tears a few times during it (won't spoil anything for you all).

The sort-of-good-news is that a currently untitled new Stargate series is going to start next year (has the codename of Stargate Universe so far). It will be set on a spaceship (of Ancient design) and will be aiming for a younger audience. Hmmm.....mixed feelings on that from me. So, I anticipate Star Trek meets Smallville.

Atlantis will follow in the suit of SG1 and will have some direct to DVD movies to follow the series.

While I love both of them it would have been much better if Farscape hadn't been cancelled in the first place.

I love Stargate, especially the silly episodes where they're just having fun.

Never watched Atlantis though...

Atlastis could have been DS9 to SG-1's TNG, but instead it was Voyager, but with better characters. If they focused more on the characters than the technobabble deus ex machina endings they seem to force in, it would improve it about a million percent.

Ah well, at least it wasn't Enterprise....

Ah well, at least it wasn't Enterprise....

But if it had been then there would have been lots of shots of the female characters in gratuitously tight uniforms to distract from the fact that the show was pants. ;)

At least Enterprise got better in the final season, wheras Voyager just got worse and worse.

I'm hoping Atlantis goes out with a bang.
