*Peaches*

I am pretty well known round here for breeding and showing piggies so it is not unusual for me to discover a pig dumped in a box or someone come knock on my door asking for advice. I thought nothing could shock me until today.
A lady came knocking on my door because the guy in the pet shop had told him I am pretty up on guinea pigs and suggested she come see me about her piggy. So ok, I go with her to her house just round the corner from mine and I felt sick when I saw the poor guy.
He's about 3 years old, and in a right state. He's almost bald round his butt and all over his belly, he's crusty to hell and generally is looking pretty grim. He's been kept alone since their daughters mate lobbed its cage mate over the fence >:(
Anyways I've told her there was no way I was willing to leave the poor guy there, if I did he'd have died I'm sure. I'm also going to be taking the other piggy they've got too, I'm going to pick them up around 6pm so I've got chance to clear space in the garden.
The way she was just so blase about it all made me very angry, I'm surprised I managed to keep my cool to be honest. She only ever fed them hay when she was going to be leaving them alone for a weekend (!) Or in the winter. They got veg "every now and then" and hadn't actually been picked up in around a year (!)
The woman had bought them for her daughter who soon lost interest. She herself can't stand them but kudos to her, she's been cleaning them out feeding them etc.
I will post a piccy of the poor pair once I get them here, and they will be up for adoption once they are both clear of whatever it is they're carrying
