DragonofAna 30-08-2008, 22:03 I'll stick to Hentai ;) Dragon Innocence 30-08-2008, 22:51 I prefer Anime films...but I liked a teen book called DNAngel..its wicked! I watched Akira...found it a bit boring but was ok :) Beakerzoid 31-08-2008, 02:10 I love Masamune Shirow's Dominion series of manga. Totally messed up genius! The Appleseed series is worth picking up too. Also Ghost In The Shell......in fact, anything Shirow makes is worth a read! martin_f 31-08-2008, 02:18 The animated Street Fighter 2 movie, for the Chun Li shower scene  Akira was good, if a bit boring. mmm, shower scene ??? flamingjimmy 31-08-2008, 11:52 The animated Street Fighter 2 movie, for the Chun Li shower scene  are you 14? Rich 31-08-2008, 12:43 are you 14? Nope. I stopped being 14 over 18 years ago. flamingjimmy 31-08-2008, 12:45 I stopped being 14 over 18 years ago. Then perhaps you should stop watching stylised anime boobs and getting exited. *carrie* 31-08-2008, 12:50 I find Manga pretty creepy in general and can't see the appeal myself, but each to their own. Rich 31-08-2008, 13:01 Then perhaps you should stop watching stylised anime boobs and getting exited. Exited? I stopped getting excited about cartoon women years ago mate (now where did I put that Flintstones DVD boxset? Mmm, Betty Rubble! *gets coat* ) vidster 31-08-2008, 13:47 Ghost in the Machine is about all i've seen film wise. Dragonball-Z as well. How can a grown man enjoy DBZ? :? nick2 01-09-2008, 10:21 The Appleseed films are pretty good, plot-wise and artistically. Classic Rock 01-09-2008, 11:43 I misread the title of this as 'Magna' and thought this would be a discussion about the Magna project over in Rotherham and how great it is! Whoops! Funky_Gibbon 01-09-2008, 12:39 I'm not a massive fan of Manga/Anime but I do like some of them. I always loved the Japanese cartoon that were on TV when I was young (Mysterious Cities Of Gold, Ulysses 31 etc) so I started watch Anime films as I got older (Castle In The Sky, Akira, Ghost In The Shell). Lately I've been getting into the series that have coming out such as Last Exile, Ghost In The Shell:Stand Alone Complex, Samurai 7, Death Note) which are all fantastic. My all-time favourite though is Perfect Blue. Vegnagun 01-09-2008, 15:19 How can a grown man enjoy DBZ? :? You'd be surprised. Mind you, loads of people love Dragonball (yes, the serieis before DBZ), as the young Goku is just completely uneducated and innocent, so he'll wander into all kinds of fun situations without really realising what he's doing. Gotta love it when he catches Bulma in the bath and asks why she has "a butt on her chest" :hihi: But yeah, there's plenty of great anime and manga out there - there's some that's not so great too, but that's no reason to judge the medium as a whole. Heck, I even draw in the manga style, myself! slimsid2000 01-09-2008, 15:22 Never heasrd of it. demoniac 01-09-2008, 15:27 I'll stick to Hentai ;) Dragon pervert :hihi: i love the neon genesis evangelion and ghost in the shell stand alone complex series. and the .hack and battle angel alita books are worth reading :) flamingjimmy 01-09-2008, 16:15 Exited? I stopped getting excited about cartoon women years ago mate (now where did I put that Flintstones DVD boxset? Mmm, Betty Rubble! *gets coat* ) Well that's not the impression i got from your first post on this thread. Also, damn you! i'll be checking your posts for errors thomm 21-07-2010, 09:55 I am writing some short stories for children, and need someone who can naturally do anime, manga style japanese cartoon type character hand drawings and maybe computer aided animal images for me . Small fee to be agreed, would need to see some of your previous work. Fine line 23-10-2011, 16:44 Then perhaps you should stop watching stylised anime boobs and getting exited. Hmmmmm, stylised Anime boobs. Ade4265 03-11-2011, 02:07 Reading Black Cat at the moment. |
