As far as I know Mike Patton still does a load of solo stuff, not sure if Mr Bungle are still going. The drummer guy I think still drums for Ozzy, not sure abbout the others.

How very dare you, Angel Dust is one of, if not, the greatest albums ever created.

Thoroughly agree there. Still play it regularly now. After that (and the loss of Jim Martin) they never felt the same to me. King For A Day has some great moments (the wild angst of Ugly In The Morning is just pure self-hating genius), but Album of the Year never worked for me.

From Out Of Nowhere brings back many many happy memories of brilliant times discovering the crazy world/social whirlwind of rock n roll !! I LOVED We Care A Lot/Introduce yourself/The Real Thing (CLASSIC!) & Angel Dust. Preffered Mike Patton as their vocalist generally. What a brilliant band ! Saw them live in Edinburgh and Glasgow back in the day :D Met them at a signing session in Glasgow too. *swoon* hehehehe

Mike Patton did Mr Bungle, Fantomas & Tomohawk as far as i know. I've no idea what's happening with those bands now as i never got into them.

Nonsense. They were one of the most respected and influential alternative bands of the 90s.

The drummer Mike Bordin played for numerous bands, and yes was playing for Ozzy last I heard. He also played for Korn for a while.

He remains one of the most in demand drummers.

Mike Patton has been in a huge number of projects, including Mr Bungle, Tomahawk and Fantomas. He also also worked with scratch djs X-ecutioners and top drawer drummer Terry Bozio.

Fantomas are playing in the UK in December with the Melvins.

Courtney Love obviously contiuned with Hole after leaving Faith No More.

you often surprise me with some of your outpourings on here, and everyone is entitled to an opinion, but this time you have opened your mouth and let the wind blow your tongue around, never have I read a single sentence that was so wildly wide of the mark. you sicken me :hihi:

anyway on to better things, FNM were a HUGELY influential and massively underrated band, they were often lumped in with 'metal' although they never considered themselves to be a metal band, they were always experimental, always fun and definitely in the top 5 live bands I've ever seen, I'll never forget a hot steamy night in the BiskuitHalle in Bonn........

Mike Patten often does jazz these days too with the likes of john zorn (painkiller, naked city fame)

normally with a lot of shouting, growling and with thrash metal time signatures

you cannot compare RHCP with Faith No More, FNM were amazing, groundbreaking and orginal and you only have to look into what Mike Patton has done since to see what a talent he is....Anthony Keidis can't even sing! :gag:

Still got a much cherished bootleg cd of their 1992 gig at Sheffield Arena, didnt go on the night but it sounded amazing...raucous and energetic and one of their first airings of 'Easy' class

The greatest band ever to walk the planet.

Always regret not seeing them. Mike Patton is one of the most versatile voices out there can go from crooning Sinatra style to Death Metal grunts sometimes just during a song! He's recently done a lot of voice over stuff for video games (Darkness) and the zombie vocalizations in the film I Am Legend. He's also recently done a soundtrack for a film called A Perfect Place which is sort of like the Fantomas Directors Cut album but with his original stuff and not covers. One of my fave albums that he worked on was called Lovage which featured Dan the Automator, Jennifer Charles and Damon Albarn. It's a sleazy take on the sort of Barry White love albums :D

Jim Martin did an album called Milk and Blood (i think?) remember buying that from Noise Annoys years ago which was the only place that had it :)

Oh King for a Day is a well underrated album of theres, never understood why that didn't get the same amount of praised lavished upon Real Thing and Angel Dust :loopy:

Roddy Bottum, great name for a gay man :D
