Made for good viewing and was quite exciting at times.

What proof do we have that there wasn't someone just off camera doing the whistling and banging and that the people on camera weren't pushing the glass round the table?

I mean, if nothing had happened at all, then viewing figures would have plummeted and the programme flopped and they wouldn't have had loads of people ringing in to enter the competition or sending in messages saying they'd seen figures or balls of light.

Made for good viewing and was quite exciting at times.

Against my better judgement I do watch Most Haunted Live events, although I think the "Live tv" element has much to do with it as I'm not so hooked on the recorded Most Haunted.
I think the format has become a little stale with the same team doing almost exactly the same things.

The Most Haunted team and dare I say some viewers have convinced themselves that they have contacted spirits because they can hear knocking sounds.....well sorry those knocks can come from anywhere.

As for the glass moving, again how do we know someone amongst the group isn't moving it?
Some friends of mine who ran a pub told me that on several occasions when the bar was closed they would witness glasses being thrown off the shelves by themselves.So I would imagine spirits can move objects like glasses by themselves, so why can't they ask the spirit to move the glass without anyone touching it?

I believe spirits do exist but whether they contact Yvette and her team everytime they start filming, well I'm less than convinced.

You can't summon a spirit on demand (or can you?) just for TV purposes. Surely having a full camera crew there would have upset the energies and caused distress for the spirits, who if they were from another time and not known they were dead in some cases, wouldn't have known what all this equipment was for. If they'd never seen a mic in a woolly sock before, how would they know to speak into it, as Yvette was seen telling them to do. I'm sure they'd have been scared of it and may have wanted them to go. As for the spirits playing games with them, it all seemed a bit bizarre.

How about Tony Stockwell......he doesn't go for the theatrics and doesn't seem the type to jump everytime he thinks sees a face of a ghost!
Or even if they can afford him the American Chris Fleming who partners Gail Porter in Dead Famous.

Actually now i mention it...Dead Famous is actually better than Most Haunted.....they actually show more visual and audio evidence on their shows than Most Haunted do, and not just bangs or tapping either!
They also did a Dead Famous Live event a few years back and it was way, way more interesting than most of the Most Haunted Live shows.
It's a pity they don't do more Dead Famous live shows......perhaps Yvette Fielding used her Living TV muscle to stop any more Dead Famous Live events because it directy competed with her show.:suspect:

Actually I've been watching the Paranormal channel (Sky 201) for about a month or two already!
I usually watch it for Arthur C Clarke's mysterious world which still make interesting watching after all these years.
There is no Most Haunted on it though... although that may change as Yvette and Karl eventual run out of programmes to show on the channel.
They do have their own new program that investigates haunted British pubs called.....wait for it "Whines and Spirits!"
It only features Karl and Stuart though going into the haunted pubs, but all you tend to hear are those annoying bleeps as Karl in particular scares himself into a expletive filled frenzy..... after about 10 minutes of viewing I switched over....not because it was boring but because the bleeping got so annoyingly grating on the ears!

What about swapping Yvette Fielding for Gail Porter........but then again Ms. Fielding ain't gonna let that happen!:hihi:

Decided to watch this for once.....

It hasnt been bad so far. The padded cell thing last night was brilliant but the sight of the bald bloke in the corner frozen with terror, just facing the wall in his straightjacket.. call me wierd but I found it hilarious.

Well if you want to be convinced dont listen to their medium.. the little bald bloke with the Cornish accent... hes absolutely rubbish and he`s ruining the show.

He wrecked it last time too and if you go to their website and their forum youll see hundreds of posts begging them to kick him off the show.

I am also on their forum-not a patch on Sheffield Forum!!! It is such a sham of a show though, you almost wish some horrific aparition would appear and scare the living daylights out of them for real!!!

Yeah I enjoy it mostly but there are some cheesy parts to it and every time something promising happens they go to an ad break!

You never quite see anything that you could put down to a ghost... its always... almost...

Ashame as I thought it was in a good location.

The location is brilliant and even though the prog is crap theres still lots of good info about history there.

Went last night and the experience was brillant. Not least just to see how much work goes into a live show.

Now doesn't anybody who watches Most Haunted Live actually recall any footage where any object has clearly moved on its own accord, i.e a glass in full view moving without any body touching it?

The only footage I've seen, although it wasn't "live" footage was a small wooden crucifix moving a few centimeters on its own accord with no one in the room at the time.
If Most Haunted is truely about trying to film an apparition, isn't it about high time that Most Haunted sets their sights a bit higher and try to film something moving rather than be satisfied with their bangs and knocks and seances.

Forget about the seances or the pyschic ramblings or what Karl or Yvette is feeling, or anything that the viewer cannot verify for themselves, instead set up experiments to try to capture moving images which the viewer can experience with their own eyes.

Also about the webcams, with all those reported sightings on these webcams, why is it that Living TV can't just set up proper TV cameras in the same room as the webcams and have them on continuos record.
That what when things are picked up via the webcams, then they should also be picked up in crystal broadcast quality recordings on their TV recordings which they can play back to the viewer.

Watched a tiny bit last night.

Probably the funniest moment of "Most Haunted Live" this week was when Paul Ross was picked to go into the mortuary on his own, and he made some comment about "Mrs Ross didn't raise no stupid children...." :hihi: :hihi:

And Karl saying that they were soo close to capturing a full manifestation and was certain the would have if they had stayed another 7 days.

Hmmm, well if that's the case why don't you stay there for another 7 days, surely the thought of actually capturing a full manifestation on camera is worth more than any extra expense incurred by a staying longer.
And hey if they are worried about messing up the Living tv Schedule then they have their own Paranormal channel .

After 7 years or so of doing Most Haunted they haven't really caught too much on film yet and I'm stil waiting for the glass to move on its own.

In the old days :hihi: when thye were fresh-faced and eager ghost-hunters, there was a sense that they were genuinely seeking out paranormal phenomenon, but those days are long gone.

Look at the relative importance of the mediums between then and now - the show used to be based around Derek Acorah as much as Yvette Fielding, but the medium(s) have become less and less central. The 'medium' they've had this week - oh dear, they might as well have had a member of the public there for all the effect he had on proceedings. I was barely aware of there being a 'psychic' being there at all this week - it's well and truly the Yvette Fielding show.

And God help a ghost that tries to upstage her! :hihi:

I would also like to know why they can't set up cameras in the same area as the webcams, and simply put them on record so that any phenomena can be viewed back to the public.
I know Most Haunted has its dedicated fans, but surely even these fans must want to ask some searching questions by now.
At the beginning of the show when the team were in the studio, the floor was open up to questions, and what question do we get?

I know. I was really embarrassed at the amount of fan-worship being encouraged last night.

The programme is now so far up its own backside it's unreal.

It was obvious from the start that place was not as haunted as it looked. So It didnt surprise me to see them getting more and more desperate towards the end of the week to try and create something. Only interesting bit was when they were in the Chapel on the last night but for me it was too little too late really. Also I thought there were too many of them in large groups together and they created too much noise for anyone watching to notice anything. I wanted to see them completely split up and go on their own into random parts of building.

The show is slowly becoming worse and it was certainly not worth them wasting a full week in Denbigh. They may aswell of spent a full week at Alton Towers on the rides. lol

The place is pretty much open. Head over and wander around yourself, you'll get far more pleasure (and more chances of meeting a ghost) than from that awful programme.
