Hi i was wondering if anyone knew if ur allowed to have BBQs (just little disposable things) in any of the parks in and around sheffield city centre (e.g. Crookes Valley Park, Devonshire green, Endcliffe park, Hillsborough Park etc) ?
Thanks
Lianne
Have you got a stand for it? It can cause a grass fire. Where are you going to dispose of the red hot coals afterwards?
I think there's a good reason they aren't usually allowed
Welcome to the sheffield forum BTW
We usually have on in endcliffe park in the summer.
We've had loads of BBQ in Encliffe Park. Always make sure that the BBQ is on bricks or something and keep the grass wet underneath so it doesn't burn. Have many fond memories of Evening BBQs in the park; drinking wine and playing frisbee. :)
Not sure it's legal, but no one's ever complained to us. I think you'll be fine as long as you respect the park; collecting any litter afterwards and not burning the grass.
