My dd starts school on Tuesday, and seems to be looking forward to it. However, this week she has started to wet her pants again, with no effort of even trying to go to the toilet.
I am assuming that this is as a result of her worrying about starting school...has anyone else had a similar experience with their kids?
Should I just ignore it and hope it goes away?
Should I mention it to the teacher next week and take some spare clothes?
Not really sure what to do for the best
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Oh no! Am I the only mum in this predicament!!!!!
What am I doing wrong?! :)
I doubt you are the only one!!! :)
None of my two that are at school went through this but if they had I think my first port of call would be to chat about school. Then perhaps have a look in the library for a book about starting school... there is a lovely charlie and lola one where lola doesnt wantt o go to school because ahe is 'absolutley too small'... think it might be called 'I am absolutely too small for school' but not 100%
If that doesnt combat the accidents maybe a sticker chart would help????
I would send a change of clothes into school just in case as at least they would be there and to hand just in case she does have an accident.
Good luck - sorry I cant be of much more help just thought about what I would try.....
There has to be someone out there that has been through this though and can offer some better advice I'm sure.

hi my daughter decided too do the same thing i resorted into asking my docta and he states it is all from worry or somthing that she is scaired ov from the past the only thing rely what helped her through it was showing her that theres nothing too be scaired ov and giving her a treat for not having any accsidents
try buying her a new school bag ect
hope this help
My son did the same thing when he started school last year. I mentioned it to his teacher at the start of term and they were brilliant about it. Yes he had a few accidents (came home wearing his PE shorts on more than one occasion!) but it did sort itself out once he got settled. If you do take a change of clothes in, make sure they all have her name on, and that the bag they're in also has her name on, as we lost several "spare" trousers off his peg. School should have a few spares of their own anyway. I doubt your daughter will be the only new starter who has the ocasional accident!

Just speak to teacher and they will remind her to go regularly during school time also school generally has supply of 'spare clothes'. No she's not the only one, a friend of mines daughter still has day time wetting problems and she's 8, school are really supportive and helpful and she attends an enurises clinic. If the problem persists make an appointment to see your school nurse, the school office will have her contact info.

My daughter was just too shy to ask if she could go. She did get better gradually. Put change of clothes in polly bag still she settles, then she can change clothes without too much embarrassment. Helps if they are identical. Talk to teacher definitely.
