Does any one have any thing baby safety that they no longer need? My little one has started crawling and i cant keep up with him! so far in 2 weeks he has broken my plates from my cupboard! Broken my roasting dish, Trapped his fingers on a number of occasions and nearly come close to the stairs! I need draw and cupboard locks, and stair gates. any thing would be amazing PLEASE HELP - even if you can only loan me these items, they are coming to a clean home and will be 100% looked after.

Oh and eated coal off my fire!! had to ake it all off - thank god its only a feature fire, and we dont need the coal to keep warm!!!

Have you tried Poundland for cupboard and drawer locks? We got a pack from there which also included plug socket covers,if not they are only around a couple of pound each to buy, got to be cheaper than replacing everything he breaks.

Also try freecycle for baby gates but be QUICK because people snap them up for using to restrict dogs too! That Yorkshire Trading cheap shop (there's one in Barnsley) do corner bumpers cheap too, but you can make your own from a nice big piece of foam, too. Best thing of all though is to get a big travel cot that serves as a splendid playpen :thumbsup:

there's a new baby wares shop opened in the Castle market, where harringtons used to be. They are selling prams, gates, high chairs etc, I've put a (new) safety gate to one side for only a tenner!

If your'e on benefits(might not just be for people on benefits not sure) cot-age do reduced baby stuff including stairgates(they come out and fit them) fireguards, baby clothes, toys, cots etc

ok, Down on waingate, where all the bus stops are...

there's a phone shop called extreme mobiles.

go in the door to the market beside the phone shop, and at the end of the corridor there are a lot of newly done-up stalls where harringtons used to be.

on the back wall, in front of you, the stall is on your left, just where Harringtons used to have all those clothes hanging up for sale

JTF do quite a range and they are the only ones (Fridge & freezer locks anyway) that I have found to actually work...
