They can have every thing but lettuce. Lettuce is poisonus (how eva thats spelt!!) to a rabbit. Mines used to like apples, oranges and grapes!! Hope that helps!

Grass, apples (without core and seeds), basil, alfalfa, radish, clover, beet greens, broccoli (leaves and stems), brussel sprouts, carrots (treat only), celery, chicory, cilantro, dandelions, dill, tops of dutch carrots, endive, parsley, pea pods, cos lettuce, spinach, watercress, wheatgrass, unlimited amounts of hay. Wild rabbits eat mainly grass. So letting your rabbit out into the backyard to nibble grass is a great idea.
Hope that helps.
If you search this on here a bigger list should come up

Mine hates parsnips but each to his own. I mean, mine thinks cardboard is a food group :rolls eyes in disgust:

Alongside iceberg lettuce, cabbage/kale is poisonous to buns. Parsnip tops will do nicely x

Kale is on the website for rabbit food as poisonous! As is cabbage. Better steer clear x

Most websites on feeding rabbits will advise that cabbage/kale at best will cause tummy upsets, at worst will cause bad reaction. There is so much food that buns can easily digest so why risk it?

I have a leaflet from the rabbit welfare fund in front of me that clearly states that both curly kale and cabbage are on the ¨what's good to feed¨ list.

This list is given to people taking home rescue rabbits.

As with all vegetables, you wouldn't feed the same thing to the bunny every single day. Everything in moderation.

I am saying that if the cabbage/iceberg lettuce/kale is dodgy then there are plenty of other food to feed buns with. Better to steer clear of these foods even if the result is only an upset stomach. This information is also on rescued rabbit websites. Why take the risk, even in moderation? I have had dozens of rescued rabbits and would never go against advice of experts, even if there is only a miniscule risk.

I have spoken to a proffessor at Nottingham vets school ... Kale is fine for rabbits but in small amounts and should be fed with a balanced diet.... I hope this clarifys the use of kale
