So, Every clamper now has to be licenced.

Will this make much difference?

It seems that many people think that just because something is licenced then it will automatically be brought under control. That doesn't necessarily always happen.

The government of course are cashing in on the licences but there doesn't seem to be much said about those whom are clamped by these cowboys.

Doesn't go far enough though. Clampers can still charge what they want and property owners are still not obliged to display prominent notices warning that clamping is in operation.

If you get clamped ask to see the clamper's licence....if he can't produce it call the police 'cos you're being mugged.
