View Full Version : Strange pet names!
What strange pet names have you heard or used yourself?
When I was a little girl, we had a cat called Adolf who had a litter of only one kitten which my mum kept and called Trotski
Thankfully my dad got his way and the dog was called Harry as opposed to mum's first choice: Mussolini.
What about your experiences?
Do my naming habits count as weird?
Recent critters have included:
Aristotle
Cerberus
Damocles
Zeus
Oh DaFoot, I always thought your names were fantastic!

I had a cat called Djelibeybi. He was named after the country of Djelibeybi (pronounced Jellybaby) from a book called Pyramids by Terry Pratchett (all hail!). His name was frequently shortened to Djeli, Djels, or Djela-baba.
My brother had a beautiful black moggy called Satan, and his mates used to come round just to see him stood at the backdoor calling for her late at night! She was adorable, but she was a very efficient hunter / killer!

Bob & Kevin, Donut's sons - I dunno, ask the kids, they named them lol. Princess Delilah the maine coon - just a posh name for a posh cat lol. Pikelet the parrot - i have no idea why he became Pikelet as we originally called him Max! But he's been Pikelet or Pikey for ages now. Or... When he was a little kitten (hes 14 now!) he had such a podgy pudge belly and ate so much hehe
Pudge's brother was named 'Mushy Pea' but we called him 'Mush' (he sadly passed away March this year).
The name 'Mushy Pea' was due to a TV advert: In the advert the pea was told a tale something like this 'remember the good old days when you were in your pod with your brothers on the field with no worries' and the pea was so sad it started to cry and went all MUSHY hehe! Well that was sooo like my Mushy because he was always, always crying for attention :)
