Jeff Buckley.

Edit - No, Tim. But can I bring him back BEFORE Jeff died, so that Jeff wouldn't feel the need to go swimming with all his clothes on, plus boots. Probably off his nut on top. Two for the price of one y'see?

Nick Drake (although he was one messed up bloke, so I don't suppose he'd thank me for it).

Seriously, Layne Staley.

I'll second that, and Freddie Mercury, and also say Bon Scott.

3 of the greatest talents in music.

I saw Alice in Chains with the new singer and I have to say he did a great job. Don't know who it was though.

Lennon, but not really as a singer, don't care about that, just want to hear some more songs written by him.

And i shall second Bon Scott and Freddie Mercury, two unique talents.

At the moment, having no funds and internet connection at home, I'l limited to owning Dirt and the greatest hits. It's a pity because out of the big 4 "grunge" bands: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and AIC, I think they were the best. I like Soundgarden too, and P.J. wrote a few decent tunes, but Staley's voice was up there with Cornell's and the musicianship was awesome, but there was something different about the lyrics and the feel to theirs.

I almost wet myself when I heard No Excuses for the first time. If someone can listen to that song and not think that's beautiful and moving then they're not human.

William Duvall?
He's the lead at the moment I think

In fact anyone I enjoy who died before their time. Here are a few that immediately spring to mind:

Donny Hathaway, Hugh Mundell, Jesse Belvin, Jackie Opel, Johnny Ace, Little Willie John, Gwen Guthrie, Minnie Riperton, Baby Huey, Lacksley Castell.

Ronnie Drew from the Dubliners. Voice like a foghorn being scraped with broken glass, but so, so good.

Meat Loaf... Meh, his career pretty much died after Bat out of hell 3, and he himself has already been "dead" once, several years ago he was pronounced "Clinically dead" for 40 seconds by Doctors after he passed out following a Concert.

Bon Scott would be number 1 choice. Agreed for Freddy Mercury too.

Having never seen the classic Sweet line-up I'd have to bring back Brian Connolly & never saw T. Rex so it'd have to be Marc. I so miss the music of Beatle John & also Elvis. There were talks of a possible reunion of The Clash earlier in the decade 'til the sad loss of Joe Strummer.

Michael Jackson isn't dead.

Although to look at him you'd be forgiven for thinking he is, from the waist down :D

Sadly "Meat Loaf" is no more; following his recent conversion to vegetarianism he now wishes to be known as "Malt Loaf".

Freddie Mercury without a doubt.

Going to see Queen and Paul Rogers in October, it'll be weird hearing someone other than Freddie sing.

There were talks of a possible reunion of The Clash earlier in the decade 'til the sad loss of Joe Strummer.[/B]

There was talk of reforming the Clash with Tim Armstrong singing and playing guitar. I'd have gone to see it, although obviously it wouldn't be the Clash properly.

Robbie Williams....................oh right. Wishful thinking and all that.

Okay, so let's pretend Our Robbie had passed on.

I'd bring him back so I could string him up again.

I'd probably bring Eva Cassidy back so she could see her own records in the shops. Otherwise, the usual contenders, Lennon, Harrison and let's throw in Laura Brannigan.
