As Savbaby pointed out, typing in capital letters is considering shouting. It's also considered incredibly rude and impolite, so if you're asking for advice in future, you might consider trying to be polite. Would you walk up to somebody in the street, shout at them and expect to get a polite response and an answer to the question you were looking for?

I would expect not.

Well for someone who has only posted twice they have got a nice warm welcome to the forum and Sheffield. Has anyone thought that they may have not used a computer before or do not know that caps are classed as shouting? I didn't know about the caps thing until I read it on here.

Anyway in answer to your question, no the markets are not here on Sundays but appear about every 6 months, in this case they were here for the Snooker. There is a Farmers market the last sunday of every month aswell on the Moor. Sunday is a quiet day in sheffield with very few shops open.

The shop Ark is located on Devonshire street opposite the forum bar, it is on the right hand side as you are going up and is quite big so you shouldn't miss it.

The fact they were jumped on though without

1) answering their question and....

2) Being ploitely told about what caps stands for is just as rude as the fore mentioned itself.

Some people can be soooo rude when accusing others of rudeness ... don't worry too much about them. Most people on here are friendly and helpful. Hook maybe suffering from PMT (pre match tension) or something!

Duffman's said pretty much everything there was to say about the markets. They are good for getting stuff that you cant get in the usual shops and a lot of fun to spend time just wandering around ... even if you dont buy anything :)

However, it is quite difficult to read stuff in all caps, so when you post next time - maybe you can leave it off? Come into chat sometime and say hello too.

Come on people, I know typing in caps is shouting, but lots of people don't - I didn't when I first started posting. It could have been pointed out politely, not in a manner that was probably going to get the response it did. We need to be nicer to new forummers - I remember being terrified the first times I posted that I was going to do something wrong and be criticised.

And I forgot to say, Gaz don't go away - the vast majority of people on here are friendly

I didn't know typing in CAPS was considered shouting when I first joined up and I still think it's a little insane :loopy: but the internet attracts weirdos and you've managed to attract a few by typing in caps lock.

Just avoid them and stick to us nice forummers from now on ;)

I got told off in a "Paltalk" chatroom for typing in Black.

I was told to only type in Yellow as some of the regulars were colour blind or colour sensitive or summat.

Never went back, i could not see what i was typing.
