I think it's a type of beer, not a particularly wonderful type at that (especially the brewed in the UK stuff), probably the worst beer to come out of Belgium.

gives me a bad headache, tried to avoid drinking it recently, but better than carling or carlsbeg.

Stella is the absolute slag of all lagers... I love it!!

Just a shame it leaves you wandering around holding your head in your hands and feeling a little clueless for a good couple of hours the following day

I drink draught Stella, Kronenbourg 1664 and Staropramen.
All are 5%. I am just 'used' to drinking that strength of alcohol and am OK on it.
Bottled/canned Stella is 5.2% and a bit of a different proposition, though!

Came down off Hellvelyn on a hot summer's day 2 years ago, after a long slog over the mountain tops. Walked straight into a pub and had a gloriously refreshing pint of Stella - quickly followed by 3 more. After which, decided to catch the bus back to the camping barn, being far too tiddly to consider walking.

I like drinking Stella occassionally on a hot summers day in a pub garden but I'm not a beer/lager drinking girl.

I much prefer wine or spirits. If I do get an urge to have a can of lager it will always be Stella or Fosters at a push, any other's taste foul to me. :)

I love Stella but only in bottles. I'm not big on beer or lager I think I like it so much cos it reminds me of summer holidays with my dad :) And I can honestly say I have never ever beat my wife whilst drinking it :P

Stella has to be drunk in 330ml bottles to be really appreciated in my view......!

I love Kronenbourg 1664 too but it makes my fella hallucinate???

Sometimes I really enjoy a Stella (only one mind yr!) and sometimes I can't get a taste for it. I prefer Grolsh personally.

Stella act-a-tw*t: I love it. It actually has taste compared to carling and fosters.

Just finished my last can though which is a shame.

Well as a woman I don't beat wives on it......neither do I beat hubbys on it but I can down between 6-10 330ml bottles on average (sometimes more!!!) and still stand up/be pleasant at end of the evening !!

Please, Please don't use this beer as an excuse for some cretin of a bloke to manhandle his wife!!!!

If a bloke cannot take his ale he shouldn't drink it.....have a bitter lemon instead....

Funny how drinks can take people.... I learnt long ago not to drink Newcastle Brown - It consistently made me difficult/argumentative:suspect:

Ey up - 10 x 330 ml bottles = 3.3 Litres of 5.2% Stella How many pints is that :o
1 Litre = 1.75 pints.....
Can't do the conversion 'cos I've been drinking :hihi:
You can put 'em back Shiesh ;)

yes I can......:hihi:

But if a particular drink was known to make me 'nasty' I wouldn't drink it.....the drink that turned me into a psycho was 'blastaways' in the early 1990's (diamond white and castaway!!) I refuse to drink it then & even now!! It's like David Banner turning into the Incredible Hulk...you won't like me when I am angry.....!!

Why can't blokes take a leaf out of my book and avoid drinks that don't agree with them...

Someone mentioned diamond white? Mmmm. That delicious, strong white cider that packs a punch. Oh yes Shiesh, now we're talking alcohol! But pubs don't seem to stock it as much as they used to do, not even the one at the foot of Hellvelyn.

I think I'm definitely reassuringly expensive!! (not so sure about the lager though).

Stella is my lager of choice, it's by no means the best lager but it's certainly addictive. It's also rather destructive if you don't mind me saying so

Stella has no effect on me and doesn't give me a hangover, why? I don't drink the stuff, unless i'm bought one. As someone mentioned earlier has to be the worst drink from Belgium, there are loads of fantastic ales and beers from there and that is the one that seems to be the most popular  The Carling of Belgium

I like Stella, but it doesn't particularly like me. It can make me turn nasty and occasionally it'll lead me to doing something I won't remember amongst the fug of the following morning.

It's usually draught that gets me; cans don't have the same effect.

But it's just a more pleasant option than XXXX, Carling or Carlsberg (which I simply don't like).

Normally these days I know when I've had enough. But it's a clever beer, waiting patiently to catch me out and turn me into a bit of a 'Ned'.

Stella and Kronenbourg are my favourite lagers, but they both give me a terrible hangover regardless of how much water I drink before I go to bed.

Hi Guys And gals,
Thanks for all your comments on the stella issue, and looking at the results I would say it is simply the best drink in the world, so it must have been created by god himself, as no one else could ge something so perfect.
As for wife beater, not me, it makes me happy, any one who turns nasty should drink pop,If I consume too much it makes me silly not nasty, and some times has made me wee where I should not, any one else found this? too much can make you wee in the stragest of places, would love to here some of them. LOL
then I will tell you about where I have had a pickle.

Stella makes me mental! Normally when I'm drunk I just get tired and happy. Stella makes me want to fight people and argue with my boyfriend. I have to steer well clear of it now, which is annoying cos in some pubs the only alternative is Fosters or XXXX - yuk!

If you go to Thailand, give Beer Chang a try - 6.4%, 70 Bhat (about 1 pound) for a large bottle (660ml). Evil stuff. I much prefer the milder Singha Beer, which is a mere 6.0%...

Urgh...
