Don't we all.... ;)

The first thing is to get your site as neat and tight as you can.
Make sure you have good, relevant content.
Then get your meta tags sorted.
Then look at everything else involved with Search Engine Optimisation - suggest you do a Google search for terms like SEO, optimisation, etc.

Don't believe people who say that by paying them you can get to the top of the ratings.

Submit to search engines, try world wide web addme dot com. Use the free basic submission tool to 14 search engines. Includes some top (and not top) search engines.
