Hi technoguru's
I have a CDR/W (UDF filesystem) full of photo's however certain folders are corrupted and report zero size in Windows.
I was wondering if anyone knows of any software which will attempt to read this cd and give me a chance of recovering at least some of the photos.
I have tried a couple of the freeware ones online with no success :(
I have tried the cd in 3 different PC's so I know it is the CD which is duff, also there is little if any scratching/scoring on the disk.
Thanks in advance

Has the CD ever worked properly? If not maybe the disk didn't burn properly.

Yes the disk was fine but it has been stored for over 12 months (which probably didnt help matters much)
See if it works on an ordinary D.V.D. player on the T.V.
The only thing i could think of that may help is if you use a program that will create a disk image of your cd (ISO) and if that program had a feature to keep trying to read if it encountered a problem....
then you could open the new ISO file with daemontools or 7-zip / winrar
heres an open source ISO creator.. http://www.ebswift.com/OpenSource/DoISO/

Thanks slug, trying that as I type, I'll report later
you could also try open a dos window, say your cd drive is D: type...
d: [enter]
xcopy *.* c:\temp\ [enter]
then in your c drive a folder temp may have some data that xp would not try get
Cheers slug, I had already tried using xcopy, but as the folders dont open in pseudo dos on here, it obviously failed...
I tried the iso creator, but as it was reading the cd, it reported that it couldn't access the rogue folders so I guess thats it, I'll just have to resign myself to the fact that I have lost the photo's.
Thanks for trying to help tho, much appreciated :)
Does sound like it is shafted, but you could try:
