Hello all, just wondering what experiences (positive/negative) people have had with Asus/Samsung laptops. I'm looking for a laptop in the 450-600 price range, and they both seem to offer an awful lot of bang per buck.

Just wondering what build quality/aftersales/warantee is like, whether there is a load of give in the keyboards (a la Acer, HP, etc. etc. etc.) or if they're well built like Dells or Vaios.

Any issues? Any positive recommendations?

OK The title didn't change, I'm looking for views on Samsung laptops as well as Asus ones..

Don't have a problem with them, they seem a really good build quality, and reasonable specification for the price..

Samsung I would say are like Sony, they seem over priced for the spec and quality, while HP, PackardBell etc seem ok spec, but poor build quality for the price.
