I have a Dell printer and was wondering if anyone knew if any other make of cartridge would work in it. Or can you only use the ones ordered from Dell?

I've heard so many bad stories about Dell....their after care apparently leaves much to be desired, and that all Dell parts are unique sizes so that you can't use anybody else's chipsets and other parts. I don't think I'll ever be buying anything from Dell. I should point out, however, that what I've just said is hearsay, and that some people may not have had any problems with Dell.

However, Dell printer cartridges are unique to Dell, ergo you have to order from Dell.

I have an Epson printer, and tried an Epson "compatible" cartridge in it....never again....the colours weren't anywhere near true, and there was a peculiar smell on everything I printed. I'll be sticking with Epson's own printer cartridges from now on, even if they do cost twice as much.
