Strix 23-08-2008, 18:45 Hehehehe - anybody else seen this spoof? :D If you're a fan of either you really should see this! :hihi: Rich 23-08-2008, 19:19 Seen it, I *cough* aquired it *cough* a while back, but deleted it after watching cos I thought it was a bit pants to be honest. Fivetide 23-08-2008, 20:07 It's the cartoon equivalent of G4 singing Bohemian Rhapsody. Some things you just don't touch. Jabberwocky 23-08-2008, 20:28 I watched it ages ago and enjoyed it. Some of the scenes were bloody hilarious! Strix 23-08-2008, 20:40 Maybe some people just aren't old enough to get the humour Jabbers :? Jabberwocky 23-08-2008, 20:43 Maybe some people just aren't old enough to get the humour Jabbers :? Or we`re so bloody old that we DO see it :D It was on three times in the space of a week a couple of months ago and I watched all three- the animation was better then the original film! The first part with the warship chasing the smaller ship- I thought it was the real movie, it was hard to tell it was a cartoon. Strix 23-08-2008, 20:46 I loved the 'asteroid' field to - having played that on a 1980's IBM :D Jabberwocky 23-08-2008, 20:51 I loved the 'asteroid' field to - having played that on a 1980's IBM :D I remember playing that in a pub in the early 80s, drunk as hell and wondering what the HELL I was doing! The graphics! The technology! I was stunned :D The settee in the milennium falcon... that got me- and the evasive tactics Han solo used to escape the warship... "Glide to the left a bit". Excellent stuff! Strix 23-08-2008, 21:19 I remember playing that in a pub in the early 80s, drunk as hell and wondering what the HELL I was doing! The graphics! The technology! I was stunned :DAnd to think that's the origins of ALL platform games :D I love all the bits which don't belong in it too - like the fly zapper :D probedb 24-08-2008, 12:08 This came out ages ago now. But it is funny :) Rich 24-08-2008, 16:01 Meh, there has been better Star Wars parodies in the past though, the one towards the end of the 5th season of the Muppet Show for starters. Jabberwocky 24-08-2008, 16:03 The Family guy Poltergiest parody was on last night too. Excellent stuff! Rich 24-08-2008, 16:15 Simpsons > Family Guy I have a bit of a thing for Marge! Er, ahem... *gets coat* flamingjimmy 24-08-2008, 16:33 I d really enjoy family guy, but i found myself strugling to laugh when i saw this a while back. It's like oh, yeah i remember that, that's kinda funny, but very few laugh out loud moments. Not as good as an episode, and it's absolutely dispicable that they released it on it's own on a DVD when it's really just the first two episodes of season 6. the way they release family guy in the UK is an absolute joke. It's the one thing i download for free from the internet because i'm so ****** off at their uk releases. Ghosthunter 25-08-2008, 13:34 Looking at the DVD it seems that they are going to do the rest of the original trilogy. Strix 26-08-2008, 00:02 The Family guy Poltergiest parody was on last night too. Excellent stuff! Gaaaahhhhh - why didn't you tell me?!?! *sulks* nick2 26-08-2008, 09:01 Simpsons > Family Guy Simpsons = funny 15 years ago alchresearch 26-08-2008, 09:58 The ones Channel 4 are showing at the minute are dire. There just wasn't one funny moment in the one last night and tonight's isn't much better. NEKRO138 26-08-2008, 10:10 To be fair though, The Simpsons has been going so long, we can expect it to be losing it a bit now. Yes it's had it's day, but as a phenomenen, I don't think it's been paralleled. But Family Guy is very funny. |
