Why do all my bookmarks keep getting wiped after every few days? I can't understand it.

Is it the settings or summat?

Any help appreciated.

Have you tried this thread - http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=258366 (http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=258366) from the FF community forums? Seems like this occurs often for some users?

backup the whole of your profile directory. that way, if you need to reinstall firefox or thunderbird or some files get corrupted then its very easy to replace everything, including saved passwords, history, email settings, etc, etc.

Good point melthebell!

For anyone wanting to do the same:

Right-click on start>Explore>Local Disk>Documents and Settings>Your user name>Application Data>Mozilla>Firefox>Profiles. Your bookmarks should be here ;)

Only on ME and above;).

Below ME they're located in:

C:\WINDOWS Install Directory\Profiles\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\randomchars.default\

Laughs @ CC for having a glorified paintbrush;).

I did (for a short period) use an Apple IIe years ago. But know nothing about the newer Macs, probably due to the fact that they are pretty difficult to break (with software).

Note to self.... Get a Mac & try to break it with SW;).
