Does anyone know of any courses in or around Sheffield that will actually lead to a recognised qualification? It would have to fit round my full time job so college courses seem to be out.
I did see an ad in the Star this week, but not sure how credible the course is. Any advise would be much appreciated, thanks :)

theres something called matrik on manor area in sheffield. which is a 1 hour lesson per week and you gain the full qualification at the end . i did my sage there , for accounts and im only 17

hi alan howard hairdressing and beauty wholesalers at hackenthorpe does a 2 day course on nails but i dont think 2 days is enough to learn nails in because there is so much to learn from applying tip to different overlays and sculperterd nails to infections and the nail growth etc sheffield college also do a nails course to but there useless lol i have had bad experience with them so wouldnt recomend them at all.
i did essential nails home learn its brillient you get all your kit dvd telephone surport you can learn in your own time and you get a recognised diploma at the end of you completion you just send you completed work in to it get marked and they send you back you diploma so you can get you liabilty insurance there so helpful and do a payment scheam to spread it over 4 or 6months if you cant pay it all in 1 go or you can just pay the full amount i would recommend essential nails :)

Monday Clay Cross 5 - 7 and 7 - 9pm
Wed Bolsover 6.30 - 8.30
Thursday Clay Cross 7 - 9pm

We start with Manicure then Nail Art then Extensions. I also offer extra support from home (additional cost).

Hi, Sheffield Castle College do nail courses at VTCT level. It is appoximately a 36 week evening course and it is very in depth as you also have the health & safety exam to do in with it. Cant remember what night i did it, i think it was a monday and its either 5-9 or 6-9 in the evenings.

hi theres a nail salon in hillsbrough that does 4 day courses on nail tech but are looking around £400 for a certificate at the end of the 4 days and your kit. they also give you advice on cheapest and best quality suppliers.

if your looking into a college course please let me know as im also looking. i think theres one just starting in evenings at castle college also.....
