seems eBay maybe the only other option other than charity shops and carboots. I have seen PLENTY on SLR's in charity shops, in fact in the RSPCA down here is a Zenith SLR with 4 lenses for £30.

I picked up 2 books this morning from a charity shop on photography with RRP of £25 each and paid 75p the pair.

How Many People Have You Seen Lately With A House Brick, Sorry I Mean A Zenith Slr, In This Digital Age Most People Would Rather Have A Crappy Digi Than A Very Basic Manual Slr !

I can agree with that but thing is if you drop on the right 35mm SLR the lens may in fact fit the DSLR.

I got a old film canon EOS 3000n for £30, it came with a 300mm Tamron telephoto lens and a 62mm Hoya filter with lens hood. i think the lens alone sells for £90 on eBay.

Stuff is there to be had, just needs finding.

Don't knock 35mm camera's, they tend to work 30 years after they stopped making them. Not the 3-4 years you get out of Digital, and £130.00 min repair charge means you just dump a digital camera.

Oh look they change the accessories for the latest DSLR so you have to buy it all again for the new model, (Canon).

35mm is 16MP in digital terms, one word of warning to digital DSLR users buying second hand flash guns, remember old film flash guns have a 37 volt trigger, Digital bodies only handle 5v, yes the old flashgun will work but it will fry your digital camera.

Oh just another question ?

Any digital SLR that can do 31 continuous shots in 5 and half seconds ?

Still love my Canon EOS30 with powergrip..............................

Try to get a picture off a CD in 30 years time.

Rant over. :-)

I can agree with you here. My set up has a fair few bits of old 35mm kit on a DSLR.

Before i committed to buying retro 35mm kit i goggled to see what the WWW. says . If you do enough research then you can't go wrong.
