Noticed this for some time now but when passing through Crosspool my car radio just becomes a horrible crackling static or 'white noise' ...this happens from approaching the Xpool Tavern one way, to near the former kings head pub the other way, and most of the way across Lydgate Lane.....I know there is a TV transmitter there somewhere but why is causing total block out of ALL stations on Medium Wave......not tried long Wave there but it it sends my old Push button Motorola AM Radio berserk....it returns to normal reception as soon as I get out of Crosspool....should this be reported to someone as it does block out all radio reception in crosspool
Its aliens I am afraid to say. The only safe way to travel in that area is to wear a tin-foil hat (preferably turkey foil, its thicker).

Is this a permanent problem or is it intermittant???:help::banana::banana::banana:
I hope it isnt BPL!!
Is this only on the AM band??
err....sorry to seem thick ('cos I am!) but what is BPM?
On a related topic - anyone know when DAB is going to be expanded in the coverage? I live in a valley in S36 and no way can I get it. I have two digital radios tho - (presents) so would like to think that sometime I might be able to use them.
Its the same with the TV - cant get channel 5 of freeview so have to get satellite. Oh, and there is no gas, no cable and the max broadband is 0.5mb.

err....sorry to seem thick ('cos I am!) but what is BPMBPL is Broadband Over Powerlines and it would produce exactly what you are talking about..
