Seth is our 15 year old lurcher who we rescued 3 years ago and due to been too ill to rehome he stayed with us as a sponsor dog under greyhound gaps funding. hes made fab progress and has been fitter than ever for the past year and even manages 90mins every morning off lead with all my others.
We are currently on holiday i north yorkshire and Last night seth was found vacant, incontinent and unable to walk after wed been on a walk with the younger dogs. We are holidaying with friends and our 12 dogs in total. After a rush to the emergency vets its thought hes hurt his back which in turns caused a fit through pain but hes also got an abnormally high temp, part of which would be expected through pain but not this high so hes had pain killers and antibiotics and is back in 30 mins for bloods and further investigation. Hes brighter thsi morning, he spent all night in my arms sleeping but hes still not eating and still very off his legs and warm, weve managed to keep syringe feeding water all night so hes hydrated (they were happy that as a nurse i would be ok to do this as he wouldnt have settled in vets) Please keep my beaytiful old lad in your thoughts, he may be 15 but hes fiesty and otherwise has been very fit and made a remarkable recovery from how he was 3 years ago when we got him. Id be lost without my old soul trotting behind me. Here he is earlier this week in our field attatched to our cottage. anna.x.
