One of my contacts off the photo site Flickr recently went to Sheffield and found a plaque to the dancer Pavlova.

It's located at the top of the ramp leading up to what was once The Victoria Station and is now the car park for The Holiday Inn.

Between us we haven't been able to find any information on why this plaque is there. Anyone have any ideas?

Oh just noticed spelt Pavolva wrong in the title :-) - no idea how to change that so if any admins read this.....

It was just part of the dessert menu for the hotel restaurant.
