Used to be a regular, but not been for a while. The only downside is having to wait for so long until your item you want to bid for comes up - and then you find that someone else is even keener on those chandeliers than you are.

I know what you mean m'Lud about the sitting about.
But they do have some nice cosy chairs that you might be lucky enough to accomodate for the duration!
Last time I went I bought an old metal biscuit tin for a tenner,
- full of stamps!
Hundreds of unsorted off paper 'good used' world stamps many dating back to 20's & 30's !
I got almost 2 complete sets of the Deutchbudespost Hitler portraits out - yet to catalogue the rest but they themselves just about cover the cost! :D
Unfortunately I'm working tomorrow or I'd be there myself :(

I think I stopped going because my attic was getting full of stuff which I've never looked at or used since I bought it at the auction. Bidding for items is actually quite fun, but its easy to get carried away andend up with stuff you don't really need. . I know many people who go do so to sell on, but I used to go just for the fun of it, and for the hope that at some point I'd end up with those missing chess pieces from the Persian original set from the 12th century worth £700,000 but bought for a few pounds (which did happen at an auction, but not the Beighton one though).
Where abouts at Thurcroft are the auctions? Are they still in the old Unity club (sorry I don't know the new name for it)
The auctions in Thurcroft are on the main road through the village.
As you come from the Rotherham side into Thurcroft follow the signs for Dinnington.
Coming into the village from Rotherham, go over the M18 bridge , past LJT car sales and petrol station on right and then it's about 200 yards on the left in the old cinema building close to the co-op.
