View Full Version : I need some friends
blade4ever 19-08-2008, 08:41 hi, i am a 26 year old married mum of 2. i have emily whos 4 and mason whos 18 months. since having kids, i have lost touch with a lot of my friends and most dont have kids yet. i would love to have some mummy friends, who understand what its like having kids. it would be great to have someone to take the kids to the park with and have an adult to talk to. i live in the sheffield 5 area, so please anyone who wants to make a new friend, get in touch:)

Once the kids are back at school you might find time to join us at Jellytots with your youngest, though your eldest is welcome if it fits with nursery/school. We're a good wet weather option :)

SpeedDemon 19-08-2008, 15:15 I'm in Sheffield 8 and would also like to make new local-ish friends with young kids. I know there is a thread on this somewhere but the search facility wont pick up the number eight cos it's less than 3 letters :loopy: My kids are 12, 9, 8, 1, and 10 weeks :D
aussie80 19-08-2008, 21:33 Hi, just found this post. i'm 28ys old and in S5 aswell and in the same boat.....would love to to get out and meet more mums in the area. where abouts in the s5 area are you? i'm on the border of southey green and parson cross, near the co-op on southey green road. we often go to longley park or parson cross park for a walk during the day so we could meet up at one of them if anyone wants?
angellic 20-08-2008, 03:42 I'm in s5 and i've got 3 kids, 4, 2 and 2 weeks :)
aussie80 20-08-2008, 06:55 hi again,
it's a bit daunting arranging to meet at a park when you dont know the people so here's another suggestion.....the little one and i are off to town today and will be going to the jellytots group down there if anyone else is interested?
bones123 20-08-2008, 07:01 hi im bones and hopefully i will go 2 jellytots i will b the one with a 11 year boy with me and a 2 year old which i mind i live at southey green near co-op
bones123 20-08-2008, 07:06 how old are your children aussie80
cuteykat 20-08-2008, 09:10 where is jelly tots? and does it cost ne think to go in i might pop down with my gang lol
aussie80 20-08-2008, 09:17 i've got a 4yr old, 23 month old and another on the way. if you look on the parenting section there's a thread at the top about jellytots and how to find it. i'm crap at directing people.....you'd end up getting lost if i told you how to get there. lol! i think it's £1.50 to come.
cuteykat 20-08-2008, 09:31 thanks ......
jellytots is on chapel walk in the victoria methodist hall opposite Superdrugs,we are downstairs there is a lift just past reception, looking forward to seeing everyone there.
Hi all i am in s5 (shiregreen) & i have a daughter who will be 5 in oct.
I think it would be nice for all the s5 girlies & kids to meet up somewhere too
I will find it difficult to meet up after the school hols as I am going back to work for 4 weeks and work in a school so wont be about in the day. Would love to meet up at some point somewhere though so would people rather meet at a toddler type group (and if so which and where - I dont go to any round here atm only ones in ecclesall term time!) or a well know park where we can all wander round looking lost together!!!!???
I am up for either so whichever others would prefer......
aussie80 20-08-2008, 21:07 sounds like a good idea. i've not gone to any toddler groups in the area so i wouldn't know which ones would be good to meet at. as for parks i know longley park, parson cross park or hillsborough park. not sure on any other parks as they're the only ones in walking distance to me as i usually take our dog for a walk to them.
